Festival Sungai Indragiri
Ketika mendengar kata Pompong masyarakat Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) tidak asing lagi dengan nama itu. Dimana Pompong digunakan oleh masyarakat Indragiri Hilir untuk transportasi mereka, sebab sebagian masyarakat setempat bertempat tinggal disisi perairan Indragiri hilir. Pompong (Kendaraan laut) dengan alat tenaga penggerak menggunakan mesin diesel ini merupakan ikon masyarakat Indragiri Hilir yang digunakan oleh masyarakat pesisir berpergian melalui perairan sungai Indragiri menuju Ibu Kota Tembilahan. untuk mengangkat budaya lokal masyarakat Indragiri Hilir, masyarakat Desa Sungai Intan menggelar Iven Festival Sungai Indragiri ketiga dengan budaya lokal berupa Pompong Hias dalam rangka memperingati Gema Muharam 1438 H. “Dengan digelarnya festival ini, Pemerintah Kabupaten Inhil sangat mengapresiasi dimana kegiatan ini sebagai ajang hiburan masyarakat sekaligus menggemakan tahun baru Islam. Semoga kedepan kegiatan tradisional ini menjadi iven kegiatan tahunan. Sebab Pompong adalah simbol kearifan masyarakat Inhil, “Untuk itu saya berharap kepada instansi terkait agar mensufot dan mendukung terus budaya tradisional. Dan kepada masyarakat, saya menyampaikan ucapan terimakasi sehingga kegiatan ini terlaksana dengan baik. Dengan kegiatan ini sekaligus merayakan tahun baru islam, semoga kita memaknai pergantian tahun islam, menjadi pribadi yang baik Nama Event : Festival Sungai Indragiri Tanggal Event : 21 September Tempat Acara : Desa Sungai Intan Kecamatan Tembilahan Hulu Deskripsi Iven : Festival Sungai Indragiri diadakan dalam rangka memperingati Tahun Baru Islam 1439 Hijriah yang diselingi lomba pompong hias yang mana kita ketahui bahwa masyarakat Indragiri Hilir dalam menggunakan transportasi sebagai kendaraan bermotor melintasi sungai-sungai yang ada di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir.

Festival Menongkah
Diantara ragam ras berbagai suku yang mendiami Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir, terdapatlah pula kelompok Suku Duano. Dari catatan sejarah, Suku Duano merupakan suku Anak Laut yang termasuk ras Proto Malay (golongan Melayu Tua) di Riau. Suku ini sudah ada sejak tahun 2500 SM sampai dengan 1500 SM. Mereka berdiam di pinggir pantai atau teluk-teluk di pesisir Timur Indragiri Hilir. Suku ini termasuk suku nomaden, artinya mereka suka berpindah-pindah dari satu tempat ke tempat lain, dari satu pulau ke pulau lain atau dari satu ceruk ke ceruk lain. Sebagai ‘orang laut’, yang terkenal akan kegigihannya, masyarakat Suku Duano tidak patah semangat untuk hidup di Indragiri Hilir yang terkenal akan alamnya yang keras. Salah satunya terlihat dari budaya tradisi menongkah yang menjadi warisan budaya Suku Duano. Tradisi menongkah yang menjadi warisan budaya suku duano. Tradisi ini terbilang unik dan langka di dunia. Menongkah merupakan aktifitas menangkap kerang (Anadar Granosa) di hamparan padang lumpur dengan menggunakan sebilah papan seperti papan tersebut terbuat dari pohon besar yang sudah tua. Sekilas aktifitas menongkah ini mirip dengan peselancar, hanya saja objek dan teknik yang digunakan jauh berbeda dengan selancar. Tradisi menongkah merupakan wujud semangat Suku Duano menghadapi alam pasang surut Indragiri Hilir. Jikala surut tempas, meninggalkan pantai seresah berlumpur yang luas, disanalah Suku Duano akan menongkah berburu kerang. Mereka berselancar di lumpur dengan menggunakan papan selancar. Dengan mendayungkan kaki dan tangan menolak lumpur agar papan bisa melesit di atas lumpur, disanalah pula kerang-kerang segar siap dikumpulkan. Melalui semangat Suku Duano, kini saban tahun (setiap Juli) Pemerintah Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir mengadakan Festival Menongkah. Bertempat di Pantai Bidari, Desa Tanjung Pasir, Kecamatan Tanah Merah, ribuan masyarakat akan berkunjung menyaksikan festival warisan budaya ini. Sebagai pengunjung, kita pun dapat merasakan bagaimana sensasi selancar lumpur yang diperlombakan disana, sembari mengumpulkan kerang-kerang di atas pantai lumpur yang mempesona. Kita juga dapat ikuti iven merapah yakni berlari diatas lumpur. Objek Daya Tarik Wisata : Pantai Seresah Bidari Menongkah Kerang Merapah (Berlari diatas lumpur) Lokasi : Tanjung Pasir Bekawan Concong Luar Pulau Basu Kecamatan : Tanah Merah dan Concong Rangkaian Festival : Menongkah dengan cara menangkap kerang (Anadar Granosa) dihamparan padang lumpur dengan menggunakan sebilah papan seperti papan seluncur, berjalan di lumpur/menapak. Lomba Menongkah kerang terbanyak dalam waktu tertentu. Aksesibilitas : Pekanbaru – Tembilahan (Jalan darat, 6-7 jam) Jambi – Tembilahan (Jalan darat, 5-6 jam) Batam – Tembilahan (Jalan laut, 4-5 jam) Tembilahan - Tanah Merah (Speedboat, ±45 menit)

Festival Sampan Leper
Pada umumnya, sampan merupakan alat transportasi yang digunakan di air. Namun apa jadinya jika sampan digunakan diatas lumpur. Nah, inilah mahakarya masyarakat Indragiri Hilir khususnya Kuala Getek, Kecamatan Tembilahan. Sebagai masyarakat yang hidup dikawasan 'Seribu Parit' dengan kondisi alam yang pasang surut, tidak mematahkan semangat masyarakat untuk melaksanakan aktifitas sehari-hari. Sampan Leper adalah sampan berukuran 1x3 meter yang didesain khusus untuk bisa dikayuh diatas lumpur.Jika secara umum kita memahami bentuk sampan kerucut dibagian bawahnya, namun tidak dengan Sampan Leper. Sampan Leper dibentuk pipih (leper) dibagian bawahnya. Tujuannya adalah saat melintasi lumpur yang padat, bagian bawah tersebut dapat berseluncur dengan mulusnya. Sampan Leper kini menjadi salah satu objek daya tarik wisata di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir. Dapat pula dikatakan sebagai iven langka di dunia. Setiap musim surut tiba, diadakan iven berbentuk lomba yang menampilkan kebolehan masyarakat dalam mengayuh sampan diatas lumpur.Kegiatan ini biasanya dilaksanakan sekitar bulan Juli saban tahunnya. Sebab pada masa itulah, air disekitar Kuala Getek, Sungai Batang Tuaka, surut dan hanya menyisakan lelumpuran yang padat. Mahakarya Sampan Leper merupakan wujud semangat masyarakat sepanjang Sungai Batang Tuaka, khususnya Suangai Luar, dibalik Legenda si Anak Durhaka. Cerita kejayaan Suangai Luar yang pernah menjadi bandar niaga besar dan ramai, namun tak membuat surut langkah masyarakatnya kala bandar mulai ditinggal akibat pendangkalan yang membuat sungai kini penuh lumpur.Disanalah tercipta mahakarya Sampan Leper, moda transportasi yang mampu membelah lumpur, siap menghantarkan apa saja yang menjadi penumpangnya, khususnya hadil-hasil pertanian yang kini melimpah sebab tanah telah subur dibalik pendangkalan Sungai Batang Tuaka. Jika anda tak dapat masa berkunjung saat iven digelar, jangan takut. Sehari-hari hinga kini, sampan leper masih banyak digunakan masyarakat khususnya didaerah Pekan Arba. Disanalah awalnya Festival digelar, sebelum kini bergeser didaerah Kuala Getek, mengingat mudahnya penonton untuk melihat dari tepian Jembatan Tasik Gemilang yang membelah Sungai Batang Tuaka. Kelucuan peserta yang bersusah payah mengayuh dan terkadang terjatuh di lumpur menjadi tontonan yang cukup menghibur bagi masyarakat yang datang, bahkan dari mancanegara. Objek Daya Tarik Wisata : Pacu Sampan Leper Pacu Sampan Pengasuh Kelapa Sejarah Singkat : Sampan Leper adalah sampan yang didisain untuk bisa dikayuh diatas lumpur. Juga sebuah mahakarya masyarakat Indragiri Hilir di dalam menghadapi fenomena alam yang telah lumrah terjadi di rawa-rawa, yakni terjadinya pasang surut air sungai. Festival Gema Muharram
Lazimnya di kawasan-kawasan Melayu Riau, mayoritas penduduk Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir pemeluk agama Islam. Maka tak heran, kebudayaan Islam yang sangat kental disana. Seperti salah satunya pada penyambutan Tahun Baru Hijriah yang sejak dahulu kala sudah dilakukan masyarakat seantero Inhil hingga ke ceruk-ceruk kampungnya. Berbeda dari tempat lain yang juga mengadakan acara untuk penyambutan Tahun Baru Islam ini dan biasanya diisi dengan acara do’a bersama dan tausyiah saja, di Indragiri Hilir, tepatnya di ibukotanya Tembilahan, acara dibuat sangat meriah. Masyarakat akan tumpah ruah meramaikan acara yang diadakan 10 hari ini, khususnya dihari ke 10 yaitu hari puncak dalam helat yang kini diberi nama Gema Muharram. Sejak Pemkab Inhil menatanya rapi, khususnya sejak Inhil dipimpin Bupati H. Muhammad Wardan, 2104 lalu, kegiatan yang diangkat dari budaya masyarakat lokal ini kemeriahannya memang terasa berbeda. Ribuan masyarakat se-Indragiri Hilir akan berbondong ke lapangan Gajah Mada, Tembilahan, lokasi pelaksanaan kegiatan. Semakin meriah acara ini pada hari puncak acara itu di 10 Muharram. Bahkan sejak tahun itu pula, kegiatan ini berhasil meraih penghargaan dari Museum Rekor Indonesia (MURI). Rekor tersebut adalah untuk kategori “Bubur Assyura Terbanyak” pada tahun 2014, “Penampilah Shalawat Nariyah Terbanyak” pada tahun 2015, dan “Penampilan Penabuh Berdah Terbanyak” pada tahun 2016, serta “Tabak Bunga Telur Terbanyak” pada tahun 2017. Event yang kini telah menjadi agenda tahunan tersebut, setiap tahunnya akan diselenggarakan pada tanggal 1 sampai dengan 10 Muharram. Pada masa itu, masyarakat memeriahkan tahun baru Hijriah dengan melaksanakan kegiatan yang diharapkan mampu menumbuhkan rasa syukur dan kualitas keagamaan. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan meliputi, do’a bersama pergantian tahun, berpuasa pada tanggal 9 dan 10 Muharram, tabligh akbar, tausiah, pawai ta’aruf, dan bermacam perlombaan keagamaan seperti lomba shalawat nariyah, lomba pembacaan syair ibarat, hingga lomba pembacaan puisi religi, dan pertunjukan teater religi. Salah satu hal yang menarik dalam Event ini adalah memasak Bubur Assyura. Bubur yang pada sejarah zaman Nabi Muhammad SAW dimasak masa-masa perang, turut dilakukan oleh masyarakat Indargiri Hilir. Bubur Assyura merupakan bubur yang pada pengolahannya mencampurkan beberapa bahan makanan. Sehingga memiliki rasa khas jika dinikmati. Tradisi memasak Bubur Assyura ini sudah lahir dari zaman dahulu di kalangan masyarakat Indragiri Hilir. Namun, dibawah Pemerintah Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir, kegitan tersebut menjadi event masak bersama dalam rangka menumbuhkan nilai hidup bergotong royong dan kekeluargaan. Daya Tarik Festival Gemu Muharram di hari ke sepuluh (puncak) yang biasanya akan dihadiri puluhan ribu orang. Festival Pemuda Kreatif
Bangsa Indonesia saat ini sedang menanti bangkitnya anak-anak muda millennial dan GenZ untuk mulai membangun sebuah cita-cita/harapan Indonesia masa depan. Membangun optimisme kolektif bahwa suatu saat para anak muda akan mampu mewujudkan cita-cita/harapan Indonesia, dan menjadi terhormat di antara bangsa-bangsa lain di dunia. Mengawal perjalanan bangsa dengan membangun optimisme kolektif itulah mestinya yang menjadi ruh perjuangan pemuda, sekaligus mengantisipasi gejala pesimisme massal. Pada ruang kosong inilah setiap pemuda dituntut harus tetap kritis dalam mengawal perjalanan bangsa, tetapi juga optimistis menatap masa depan Indonesia. Itulah yang dimaksud dengan gerakan kepemudaan yang inklusif dan integral yaitu gerakan moral, gerakan intelektual, sekaligus gerakan membangun optimisme kolektif bangsa. Undang-Undang Nomor 40 Tahun 2009 tentang Kepemudaan telah mengisyaratkan bahwa semangat dan motivasi baru bagi bangsa khususnya pemuda Indonesia untuk memperjuangkan eksistensinya sebagai sebuah bangsa yang bersatu dan berdaulat. Untuk itu, dalam rangka memberikan makna yang lebih dalam akan arti penting sebuah momentum sejarah pemuda, bangsa ini perlu merekonstruksi dan mereaktualisasikan nilai-nilai yang terkandung di dalam perjalanan sejarah sumpah pemuda, sebagai bagian dari proses sejarah Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI), maka jiwa dan semangat sumpah pemuda perlu diaktualisasikan agar tetap relevan dan terpatri dalam sanubari, di tengah perubahan zaman yang semakin cepat dan dinamis. Oleh karena itu, setiap pemuda perlu mempunyai visi kedepan dan cita-cita untuk memproyeksikan 10, 20, bahkan 30 tahun ke depan untuk Indonesia, serta memiliki peran strategis di tengahtengah masyarakat dalam menyongsong masa depan Indonesia. Pada posisi itulah potensi terbesar bagi setiap pemuda untuk mewujudkan harapan dan menggapai cita-cita Sumpah Pemuda serta proklamasi kemerdekaan Indonesia yang mulia dan inklusif itu. Untuk menggapai visi tersebut, strategi paling ampuh adalah kerja nyata secara kolektif dan kolaboratif dengan orkestra yang padu dan harmoni. Kerja kolektif dan kolaboratif sesuai dengan amanah undang-undang no. 40 Tahun 2009 tentang Kepemudaan dan juga sesuai dengan Perpres No. 43 Tahun 2022 tentang Koordinasi Lintas Sektor Penyelenggaraan Pelayanan Kepemudaan. Maka daripada itu, untuk memeriahkan peringatan Hari Sumpah Pemuda ke-95 tahun 2023 Bidang Pemuda menyelenggarakan Festival Pemuda Kreatif Tahun 2023. Kegiatan Festival Pemuda Kreatif memberikan ruang untuk pengembangan kreativitas dan jiwa seni pemuda yang kreatif di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir, acara diisi dengan beberapa kategori, sebagai berikut : Band Competition Kompetisi yang dilaksanakan dengan Group Band yang membawakan Lagu ciptaan sendiri, sudah direkam (seadanya) dan memiliki video clip. Video Clip Competition Kompetisi yang dilaksanakan dengan menilai Video Clip dari Group Band peserta Band Competition. Photographer Competition Kompetisi yang dilaksanakan dengan menilai Hasil Foto dari peserta (On the Spot) pada saat pelaksanaan Festival Pemuda Kreatif berlangsung selama 2 Hari. Bazaar Kreatif Di isi dengan display kerajinan kreatif dan display Photography dari berbagai insan muda di Indragiri Hilir.
